Left 4 Dead 2 announcment made Hitler mad!

Apparently people are pissed at Valve for announcing Left 4 Dead 2 so soon after releasing L4D 1. Just 1 year later. Apparently this has upset people who felt they should be supporting L4D 1 which Valve said they were going to do with further patches and DLC. There’s been a petition already with about 10,000 people signed up and apparently this whole situation upset Hitler?!? 😀 More about the petition here…

UPDATE: Valve respondes

  1. ROFLOL!! almost as good as the Final Fantasy ex eye eye eye clip.

Valve have been criticised for making gamers wait for years for Half-Life episodes/sequels so it looks like they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t 🙂

  2. Yes, I wrote the post because the video was bloody funny not because I lend any credence to the protesters complaints. Valve have finally got something where they CAN bring a new version out quite quickly because it doesn’t have as much story or the epic’ness of Half Life. Also they haven’t said they aren’t going to continue to support the first one I don’t think? However in this day and age of huge DLC it is surprising that they aren’t taking that route?? Just some more character skins and maps and you’re done I would have thought!?

    • Yeah, I would have picked DLC as the most likely way to add to the game. Valve helped pioneer additional content with the Half-Life Blue Shift and Opposing Force expansions and HL2 episodes, so it’s in their blood. The pressures now on them to make L4D2 something greater than what could have been done with DLC, something worthy of a full priced sequel. I wonder if they could develop the single player aspect of the game?
